Following on from Toyota's worldwide recall (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8496902.stm) of over 8 million cars due to safety concerns, Daihatsu has today announced (http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE61O25L20100225) that it is to recall 60,774 cars due to wiring problems that could trigger airbags to inflate accidentally.
The Daihatsu recall is said to apply to "four minicar models" manufactured between December 1998 and April 2000, which would appear to eliminate the Copen at this stage, which was introduced in 2002.
Nissan and Suzuki have also issued recalls for different faults.
