"What Car?" reports (http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/downturn-drives-down-motoring-costs/245069) that the cost of motoring has actually fallen by 5% in 2009.
That obviously means we can now all afford to get out in our Copens a bit more often!
It's also reported that 6% of motorists have switched to smaller cars. They don't come much smaller than a Copen, so perhaps Daihatsu sales figures will start to rise! :D

I think Daihatsu deserve to sell more cars than they do just for being a little different.
Since owning the Copen I've noticed other Daihatsus that I would otherwise not have noticed.
I like the look of the Materia as a family hatchback with a different look to the usual.
Anyone else like the Materia?

I agree, the Materia looks interesting. I've only seen pictures though - I'd be interested to see one close up.
Looks interesting, I like the red colour. Is this small like most Daihatsues or a normal size car?

I've seen a couple on the roads around Belfast. They look very different. About the size of a Corsa or Fiesta but taller.
I would actually buy one as they are relatively cheap too.
